Recipes that Support Skin Health

You can buy all of the topicals, serums, creams, and masks- but one of the largest contributing factors to your overall skin health is what you choose to put inside your body. From the food you eat, the drinks you sip, and the supplements you take- it's important to be mindful about what you put into your body. To kickstart your guide to clear, glowing skin- we've compiled some of our favorite recipes to support skin health. 

Cantaloupe Salad

Cantaloupe is 90% water, meaning it's very hydrating. It's also packed with Vitamin C - a powerful antioxidant that is vital in collagen synthesis. 

For the Salad:

1 large Cantaloupe, cut into cubes

1/2 a Cucumber, thinly sliced

1/4 c Fresh Mint leaves, torn or thinly sliced

1/4 c Fresh Basil leaves, torn to thinly sliced

2 large handfuls Raspberries

For the Dressing:

2 tbsp SR® Organic MCT Oil

2 tbsp Lemon Juice

1 tbsp Honey

Salt, to taste

Instructions

Combine all the ingredients for the salad in a large bowl. In a small bowl, whisk together the ingredients for the dressing. Taste and add more salt or lemon as needed. Drizzle over the salad and toss to combine. Enjoy!

 

Green Detox Smoothie

Cleanse your skin from the inside out. The raw, antioxidant-rich ingredients and incorporation of Collagen Peptides in this smoothie is a glowing dream.

Ingredients

2 cups Spinach

1 cup Cilantro

1 tbsp Chia Seed

1 cup Frozen Pineapple

1 cup Coconut Milk

1 cup Orange Juice

2 scoops SR® Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides

Instructions

Throw all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

 

Hearts of Palm Pasta with Pan-Seared Salmon

Salmon is a rich source of Omega-3 Fatty Acids which are important for maintaining healthy skin. Omega-3 deficiencies can actually cause dry skin, so it's important to supplement if you can't get enough in your diet.*

Ingredients

3-4 ounce Salmon, pan seared

Hearts of Palm Pasta

For the sauce: 

1 Garlic clove

1 tbsp SR® Organic MCT Oil

1/2 Avocado

1/2 Lemon, juiced

1/4 c Coconut Cream

Pinch of salt

Instructions

For the sauce, combine all ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. 

Heat a non-stick pan to medium low heat and add hearts of palm pasta. Cook the pasta for about 3-4 minutes. Add the sauce in increments and stir to combine until heated through. Plate and top with seared salmon. Enjoy!

 

Golden Milk Latte

Ingredients

1 scoop SR Golden Milk

1 c of boiling water or steamed milk

 1tsp honey, if desired

Instructions

Combine Golden Milk powder and boiling water or steamed milk into your favorite mug. Sweeten with honey or alternative sweetener if desired and enjoy!
